Travel Analytics Update

Tuesday, 22 October 2019

We have deployed one of those updates where there’s not a lot of write about, however, it will have a big impact in keeping your data looking the way it should.

Automatic Customer Name Updates

Throughout the years we created several hacks to manage changes to company names.  While the 'hacks' worked, technically they were far from perfect.  So in typical Travel Analytics fashion, we have stepped it up a notch and automated the process within Mark II.  Here's the spin.

If a customer name (debtor name) is updated within your mid-office (i.e. MOVETECH to MOVETECH AUSTRALIA) and the debtor code remains the same (i.e. MTECH), Travel Analytics will automatically update the data to the new name.

This will only work if you only update the customer name and keep the debtor as is.  If you update both, the customer names won’t merge as you have effectively created a new customer (debtor) and we will treat it as such (no matter how similar the codes look i.e. MTECH and MTECHAU).

If you need to merge the data for these customers, then you will need to group them using report hierarchy.

Reference Data

We have added additional fields into raw data exports.  By default, travel booker name, project number, ems reference, travel approver, booking reason description, account code, activity, approved, trip purpose, traveller description and transaction description will appear in the excel downloads.

These are in addition to other references you have set up for your customers within Tramada.

Hierarchy Data

We have updated the raw data exports to display the division linked to a cost centre within the report hierarchy as shown below.

Help

We continue to update our help pages within Travel Analytics to help you learn more about the features within the application.  A link to the help pages is located at the bottom of the menu bar of all of the dashboards.

If you have any ideas for new content, please email us at support@travelanalytics.com.au and we will update the site.
