Travel Analytics Update

Wednesday, 7 August 2019

The Travel Analytics team have been busy over the past few weeks, and tonight we will be pushing the following updates into production:

  • Location filter functionality
  • Deactivate/Activate subscriber functionality
  • Service fee merging and description editing
  • Filters persisting

Location Filters

We have updated the location filter to make it more intuitive for users to access the data they need.  First up we have added a list of favourites: Domestic, International, Travel between and Travel between (return).

If you click on the Domestic filter, the advance filter will automatically populate the country of your location (i.e. Australia if you are in Australia or New Zealand if you are in New Zealand etc.).  This will allow you to run reports for travel within the country you are located.

If you click the International filter, the advance filter will automatically populate the country of our location and you can add other countries to the filter as you see fit.

The Travel between filter allows you to search for travel between two countries.  Handy if you want to see how many Australians have travelled to the UK to see Steve Smith take it to the Poms.

And if you click on the Travel between (return), you can view data for travel in both directions (i.e. travel originating from Australia to the UK and travel originating from the UK to Australia).

Nice bit of kit!

Deactivate / Activate Users

We have updated the user management module to allow administrators to activate accounts that have (accidentally) deactivated.  Just click on the link to Deactivate a user and click again to Activate a user.

Service Fees Merging / Updates

Administrators can now merge and update service fees within the data editing menu (see below).  To get started, simply click on the Service Fee Types tab to open the editor.   The editor allows you to merge duplicate or common service fees together, and or, edit the description of the service fees.

To merge a service fee, simply click on the fees you would like to merge and click the merge button.

Within the popup window, you have the option to select which description you would like to use or add a new description using the free format text.

If you make a mistake, click on the unmerge link and select the fees you want to unmerge and click OK to save the changes.

To edit the fee description, simply click on the edit link and overwrite the name in the text box and click OK to save the changes.

Filters Persisting

We have updated the front end so any filters you have set (i.e. dates or location) persist if you refresh the page or log-in/out of the application.  This will be a bit of a time saver for regular users of the application.
